I Still Miss You, Margret

One year ago today, we said goodbye to Margret, and let her go home.

She was ready to go.

Wouldn't it be lovely if she could write from where she is, and tell me she's happy, healthy and has plenty of interesting things to do?

You must be feeling very sad today, remembering the day you said goodbye to Margaret. It would be lovely to get a letter. I have often wanted that same thing, or a photo, or a phone call or a text message or something.
I am thinking of you today, I know there are no words that can truly help. Sometimes sharing tears is the best comfort, I have shed some tears for you and Margaret today. Take care.

It was a day of mixed emotions.

There was laughter, there were tears. There were moments when I was thinking only about Margret and how much I missed her presence and her giggle, and moments where I was quite occupied with something else.

I packed up a parcel to send to her youngest sister, and saw it off in the post. I took a batch of donated magazines to their destination. I returned a library book. I met up with friends at a store, and we chatted. I went for a walk with them.

It ~was~ difficult to let go of the day and go to sleep.

I would love to read that letter.

I am sad for you that you have lost your precious girl. Last summer saw many broken hearts.

I look forward to coming to know your Margret, your Incredible Gift through this blog.
