Not Done with Tears

I had thought I'd be mostly done with tears by now. It is, after all, more than a year since Margret died. But no. I have moments when some small thing brings the tears welling in my eyes.

I've signed up for a grief support group. First meeting is tomorrow.

There is no timeline on grief. We will likely miss Margret throughout the rest of our lives. I hope the support group helps to make it easier to cope. You'll have another grandchild next month who also needs your love and needs to hear the stories about the aunt they've never met and to share in our family's legacy of love and contribution by all. You've got a lot of people who love you and who need your love, too. Never forget that, Mama Cat.

Most of the blogs I follow are about little children with DS. I was happy to find yours as My little princess is 23. Your Margret is beautiful

I am so sorry. I know how you feel.

Mom passed away 6 mos ago and we finally had her memorial a week ago today.

I miraculously found a wonderful counselor..or she found me.. (the miracle part)who is helping me. :)

She touched many lives... she was a great person... i want you to know that to this day, eventhough i never met her face to face only hearing her through your radio show, i still think about her and her wonderful laugh. Thank you for sharing your family with us.
Your friend Jorge.

You are so strong. I'm glad you are signing up for a support group. You will find out that you are right on target for your own path through grief. And more people need to know how wonderful Margret was and how much you loved her.

I see Margret smiling in my thoughts now and then. Usually around my pets, or when I see flowers.

Thinking of you.
